Information for Applicants

The Scholars Program at McKelvy House is a residential program of extracurricular discussion and interaction for up to 19 intellectually curious students.

During February, faculty nominate candidates for the McKelvy Program. If you are interested in McKelvy, please don’t hesitate to ask a faculty member who knows you well to nominate you.

Following nomination, interested candidates are interviewed by members of the Committee on the McKelvy House Scholars Program.  The Committee, which selects the membership of McKelvy House, considers individuals on the basis of their intellectual interest and ability. The Committee also considers whether candidates are making normal progress toward a degree and are otherwise in good academic standing at the College. However, there is no minimum grade point average requirement for entry into the program.

For additional information, please contact Professor Rachel Goshgarian, McKelvy Faculty Advisor.
