On March 30th, the Lafayette Russian Club held its second annual party at McKelvy House, bringing in a good crowd of students and professors. With Russian music and homecooked food (most notably including borscht and blinchiki), a good time was had by all.
Additionally, a number of students who had not previously been exposed to the RussianĀ language, culture, cuisine, and history got a chance to talk to students and professors studying these subjects. Hopefully this will go some way towards renewing and promoting interest in Slavic studies at Lafayette.
I’d like to extend a hearty thank-you to everyone who helped this even come to fruition: the Russian Club, the professors in the REES program, and to Megan, our intern chef extraordinaire.
